Beauty Trends from London Fashion Week

London fashion week has nearly finished for the year and mostly everyone was talking about McQueen's return to the arguably less commercial (but more creative) runway of the big four and Christopher Kane's return via Mulberry. 

Metallic Touches

There were whispers of metallics on nails and skin at New York Fashion Week, with Fara Homidi applying metallic body paint to the models at Eckhaus Latta. McGirr bought this back at McQueen, where models on the catwalk sported silver and blue deviled-horned hair as a nod to the brands rebellious heritage. If the models weren't wearing devil hair horns they had gray pink and blue touches to their eyeshadow that made them look like they were stumbling out of the clubs of which McGirr was inspired.

Pink Pink Pink Blush (and sometimes yellow?)

Bora Aksu at first glance went heavy on the blush to show the models as Victorian Dolls, one of the girls was even in heavy yellow blush to offset her hair and laced cap. In street style news it was noticed that everyone is also dying their hair pink again seen on Rhian Teasdale outside McQueen in a pink ombre.

Messy Modern Side Parts

Christopher Kane debut at LFW was heralded as a new era for the London establishment label. Eschewing mostly the pop of colours seen elsewhere for spring or the overt sexy messy hair noticed at NYFW, his show was described as "retro futuristic" by Vogue and as such a trad side part was used but tousled and undone while still remaining chic.
